Why is Kristen Stewart no. 27?

While Kristen Stewart has a particularly rabid following for such a young actress, we're guessing (hoping?) you don't consider yourself a Twi-hard. Still, just because you're not a Stephenie Meyer disciple doesn't mean you can't still be a fan of Twilight's leading lady. A reluctant star who seems genuinely bothered by all the attention she's received as Robert Pattinson's love interest (both onscreen and off), Stewart has an edge to her that most other tween favorites don't. And maybe it's that hard-to-get attitude that makes us like her so much. Regardless, forget Edward and Jacob - consider us Team Bella. Is that an option?

Holiday break is officially over, which means it's back to the office (boo!) and back to the regular bitchin' gossip (yay!). And it also means that our list of 99 reasons that we still love Hollywood must finally come to an end as well.

We've had a good run discussing celebs from Lindsay Lohan to Tom Cruise and everyone in between, the hottest shows (American Horror Story, anyone?), the best movies we've seen this year (Harry Potter) and the movies we just cannot wait for (Magic Mike), but we still haven't touched on the best of the best.

2. Kristen Stewart
Shall we count the reasons why? Firstly, Kstew's style. While it may have been all hoodies and oversized tees back when Twilight hit theaters, she's blossomed into a red carpet fashionista who makes the best of the Best Dressed lists with a tough-ass style that's all her own (that'd be grunge glam, duh). Secondly, she's not your average starlet - she's doesn't buy into the phoniness of this town and isn't afraid to be a little awkward or rough around the edges. And lastly, well, if we didn't have Kristen Stewart paving the way, we'd never have had Jennifer Lawrence or Rooney Mara or any other bad-ass babes that have popped up trying to nab the title of "the next Kristen Stewart".

1. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2
How's vampire "life" treating Bella? How's the Volturi treating the Cullens? Oh, like you haven't already read the book. The only thing you don't know is how hard it's going to be to watch the last scene of the last Twilight.

3. Snow White and the Huntsman
Mirror Mirror, the other upcoming Snow White movie, has Julia Roberts, and that's swell, but this Snow White movie (and Kristen Stewart vehicle) has Charlize Theron, and she looks plain bad - in a very good way.

Collider's 15 most anticipated blockbusters of 2012

As 2011 comes to a close, it's time to look forward to the movies set to open in 2012. While many are busy compiling their Top 10 lists from 2011, we thought it'd be a good time to run down the list of our 15 most anticipated blockbusters of the coming year. Will The Avengers deliver as the culmination of four years worth of Marvel movies? Just how much of a prequel to Alien is Prometheus? Will The Dark Knight Rises be the greatest movie ever made in the history of movies and awesomeness? There are a lot of unknowns, and we've learned that sometimes the best behind-the-scenes talent can still make a stinker (Cowboys & Aliens), but we're hoping for more than a few pleasant surprises (a la X-Men: First Class) to appease us in 2012. Why we're excited about it: While the idea of two Snow White movies wasn't exactly the most appetizing thought, the first trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman was kind of badass. In his feature film debut, the first look at Rupert Sanders' iteration of the classic story definitely took a lot of people by surprise; it's much more Lord of the Rings than Alice in Wonderland. Charlize Theron is a delight any time she gets a meaty character to chew on, and she appears to be in fine form here as the Evil Queen. We haven't seen much from Kristen Stewart yet, but turning Snow White into a sort of reluctant warrior is definitely an interesting direction. Sanders' visuals are epic in scope, and I'm enticed to find out if this ambitious fairy tale delivers.

This could be the proof-of-concept moment for the whole "Action remake of fairy tales" trend in Hollywood. Start the debate: Is the decision to feature zero dialogue from Kristen Stewart an intriguing artistic choice, or an indication that her reportedly British-y accent might be off-putting?

The Pitch: Edward, newly-fanged Bella and their l'il baby vampire take on the forces of darkness.
The Hook: The Twilight finale. Regardless of the lukewarm reaction to Breaking Dawn, Part 1, your kid sister will love it.
Defining Feature: Splitting the final story in two a la Harry Potter should at least mean one thing - action!

When? Release date in the UK is 16 November 2012.
What's the buzz about? It's going to be painful to wait until next winter to see what Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is like on the big screen as a red-eyed, marble-skinned wonder. In the meantime, we're consulting the book for further clues and imagination sparks.

Who is celeb of the year? Vote for leading ladies, round 4

And then there were two. We're down to the final matchup in our Leading Ladies and the title of E! Celeb of the Year is potentially right around the corner for one of these two stars.

It was a round of blowouts and razor-thin wins, so who managed to hold out for one more round?

No. 1 seed Kristen Stewart continues her domination. She was matched up against No. 5 Emma Stone, whose year of Crazy, Stupid, Love, The Help and hanging out with spidey BF Andrew Garfield came to an end when Kstew pulled in 74 percent of your votes. It was a good year for Emma and we're sure we'll see her back here again soon.

The other pairing wasn't as clean-cut. Black Swan star No. 6 Mila Kunis was up against Harry Potter's Emma Watson, No. 10, and things were close until the very end, but ultimately Mila slipped past Emma with a narrow 52 percent of the votes. But with Emma's star power, this is definitely not the last we'll hear from her.

"Snow White", "Hunger Games" and more: Which trailer was your favorite?

For the past two weeks, it seemed like every day brought a new, hugely discussed trailer. With first looks at "Snow White and the Huntsman", "Mirror, Mirror", "Brave" and "The Hunger Games" all debuting recently, next year's biggest blockbusters were all vying for your attention.

But which one did you like the best? We want to know, so make sure to vote in our poll past the jump!

"Snow White and the Huntsman"
One of the two Snow White films premiering next year, "Huntsman" got a boost from debuting the trailer first. The clip focused heavily on Charlize Theron as the Queen and was noticeably light on Kristen Stewart as Snow White. The trailer dazzled with stunning visuals and some epic action sequences.

Hollywood's best actors for the buck

The Twilight movies are more than a cultural sensation, they're a financial phenomenon. The latest, Breaking Dawn, has ranked No. 1 at the U.S. box office for the past three weekends and has already earned $588 million worldwide. The entire franchise has brought in $2.4 billion so far and there's still one more movie set for release next year.

It's been a lot of reward for relatively little outlay. The first two movies were produced for $37 million and $50 million, respectively. The current film is the most expensive to date with an estimated budget of $110 million. Part of the reason the budget has risen is that stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are getting paid more for playing Bella and her vampire boyfriend Edward, but they're still not getting the $20 million paychecks that some big stars can command.

That's why the Twilight stars land so high on our list of Hollywood's Best Actors for the Buck, with Kristen Stewart at No. 1. For every $1 Stewart is paid her films earn an average $55.83. Pattinson ranks third with his films bringing in an average of $39.43 for every dollar he is paid.

How does Stewart beat Pattinson when they earn virtually identical salaries on their Twilight films? For the purpose of this list we look at each star's last three major releases in the last five years, and Pattinson has been busier than Stewart. He starred in two non-Twilight projects in the past two years: Remember Me and Water for Elephants. Neither film performed particularly well and that pulled down the average return on investment for Pattinson.

As the MTV Movies team begins our look back at the cinematic year that was 2011, we're reminded that time is precious. We don't have much of it; we must use it wisely. That's why we're beginning our series of best-of stories with movie trailers - those neat little packages of footage that let us know in a few minutes' time whether the full movie is going to be worth it. Picking our 20 favorite trailers was a tough call; just look at the ones that didn't make it, like "The Avengers", "The Amazing Spider-Man", "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "Breaking Dawn - Part 1".

In the end, though, we selected the trailers that truly stuck with us - some since the early days of the year and some newer ones that are sure to haunt us into next year. Read on for our picks for the 20 best movie trailers of 2011.

3. "Snow White and the Huntsman"
Our expectations were not high. So let us apologize to Kristen Stewart and all who are involved with this adaptation: Well done, folks! Sweeping in scale and containing some truly creative visual effects (huge crows splintering into hundreds of smaller crows, an anthropomorphic golden mirror), the trailer already would have been a 2011 highlight on its own merits. But when the silly trailer for "Mirror, Mirror", a competing Snow White flick, dropped days later, we had to revise our expectations for "Huntsman": This is how you adapt a centuries-old fairy tale for the 21st-century multiplex.

OK, anyone who reads my reviews knows that I don't care much for the castrated film versions of Stephenie Meyer's vampire bestsellers. But I have hopes for Breaking Dawn, Part 1 and even Part 2 because both are directed by Bill Condon, who's the real deal (see Gods and Monsters, Kinsey and Dreamgirls). If anyone can put life into the marriage and long-awaited sex betweem the human Bella (Kristen Stewart) and the bloodsucking Edward (Rob Pattinson), it's Condon. Twi-hards, I'm with you this time.

Who? Stewart’s name will always be synonymous with Twilight, 2008’s surprise monster hit, which spawned four sequels.

Why so hot? Stewart achieved years of critical acclaim in indie films like Speak and Into The Wild, but Twlight pushed her into the big time. She's since stuck to her roots with smaller productions - taking roles opposite Jesse Eisenberg in Adventureland, with fellow Twilight alumni Dakota Fanning in The Runaways, and then as MaryLou in novel adaptation On The Road.

She's now heading back into studio fare, taking the lead in Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman, due out next June.
